Yup, 1" WW would be the go and as for the visor, perhaps we could corner the market now and release a world wide epidemic of visors on Egay..... They could be the retro-cruiser-accessory(tm) of the future! ....just a thought.
The green metalflake and white on the interior looks cool too.... I better win this one !!!! Dunno what the latest whereabouts is on the roadster, it was for sale a while back.

yeah, it's kinda cute, but if it's the same care I don't believe it was done in one week. body shortened, doors welded, fins, grill, upholstrey, top, trim, plates, paint... nope. I don't believe it. Paul
"7 days difference! The paint is clear over base with aqua pearl flames....... and with aqua metal flake upholstery..........." Noddy Watts Beach Hop Central There ya have it!
Howdy - first time here and I like it! Just a few details about the new "1 Week Wonder" project car. The car was driven into the Whangamata Area School Workshop on Friday 19th September 2003 at 3:30pm - school was out for the holidays! The finished photo posted on the board was taken at 3pm on Sunday 27th September. I added up all the hours we worked on the car, divided by 8 and came up with 7 days work. All work done Mon-Fri was after hours -after 5pm. I have over 150 photos to prove it. The car is 98% done - still need the door panels upholstered and a few bits of rubber moulding stuck on. The work was undertaken by a core team of about 10 - including 3 school kids. Most of the team have never built a hot rod before. We just didn't cut the top off and give it a quick paint job. The chassis has been substantially strengthened, the sedan doors lenghtend 6", pillar moved back 6", rear doors cut down and welded in, brace from pillar to fenderwell, stylish fins, fender skirts, tube grill, totally shaved - including exterior door handles, lowered 2" all round, etc etc. The paint is gloss white with pearl flames and the engine bay has been chromed out courtesy of Otahuhu Chromeplaters. All bolt on accessories from Magoo's Street Rods - Mooneyes are sending a box of goodies from the USA which didn't arrive in time - but will be here tomorrow! Agree re white walls. Have changed to caps and rings on the front and looks much better already. Yes - I have the rear fender embelleshment bits. They're in pretty good condition and are for sale. Email me and make an offer......... I know they are rare! Note: we got a bit of***** for cutting up a "nice old car". Response 1 - it wasn't that nice once we got into it. We found some real nasties - bogged over rust etc etc. But we fixed it all properly. Reponse 2 - Hey! We are Hot Rodders and this is what we do! Also - yes I still have my T Bucket sitting in the garage. I'm waiting for it to become a nostalgia rod before I bring it out again......... The car will be given away at Beach Hop 2004 - April 23-25th. I'll be taking it to runs/swapmeets/shows/drags over the next 6 months. It is even better in the flesh. Keep an eye on the Jan-Mar 2004 issues of the New Zealand Hot Rod Magazine for the complete run down on how the car was built. Keepin' the flame alive! Noddy Watts Beach Hop Central P.S - The total cost of this car, including purchase, is UNDER $4000 (USD$2000).
Welcome to the HAMB Noddy! Thanx for the side-rear shot. The intro police(tm) will now be asking questions. Perhaps tell them a little bit 'bout you. A piccy of the bucket would be KOOL too! You will enjoy what's posted here, there is a lot of talent and knowledge on this board. Hoping for a relatively fine Summer and probably will catch up with you at a show or swap soon!
