Technical One wire conversion

Changing from a Ford 12v generator, to a one-wire Ford alternator (Taurus).
How do I make the wiring connections? Is the factory regulator used at all.

If you peruse all theses sites you will find answer. Some folks like to install a fusible link
on the alternator wire that comes from the battery or solenoid as a safety precaution.

Be sure to disconnect battery when working on electrical system.
