My friend owns this very cool, 1960, one year only Ford Country Sedan wagon.
I like everything about it. As you see it here, that is the original paint, original engine. Plus original, still functional, factory air.

  4. Hope it isn’t

It’s a “custom” made from GMs finest era.

Love that Country Sedan! The bubble top GM cars look good, but not with that continental spare!
The 57 Rambler shown is a standard model. It would have had the old 195.6 OHV six, or an AMC 250 V-8. The AMC 327 V-8 powered Rebel was the second fastest car in 1957 -- beat only by a fuelie Corvette at Daytona Speed Week. It only came in silver, and only 1500 made. Very desirable amongst Rambler fans! Not the most attractive Rambler, but distinctive! Made that body style for two years, 56 and 57.

This particular Rambler belongs to a friend of mine here in Seattle. These pictures of are when he found it at the Portland swap-meet a number of years ago.

That's a beauty, although technically not a Rambler, it's a Nash Ambassador, made before they gave up on building big cars and changed the company name to Rambler.

    You know @Squablow
You are 100% correct about it being a NASH !
Thanks for pointing that out to me, which it should have been obvious, looking at the badges and the wheel covers!
And technically, as its indicated on the front left fender, its an "Ambassador Super"

I kick myself over the '57 I used to have AND the '60 DeSoto I passed up when I had a chance to snag it. BOTH 2dr hardtops.

The 56 Ambassador either had a 252.6 OHV six (Nash/AMC didn't round like others, or rather they didn't round to whole numbers) or a 320 Packard V-8. AMC came out with a 250 V-8 around mid model year, but it was only available in the two door Ambassador and (Hudson) Hornet Special. Those were actually the shorter wheelbase Statesman and Wasp two door bodies with Ambo and Hornet trim. The few hundred pounds saved made it easier on the little 250 V-8. The 250 was also available in the 56-60 "big" Rambler. The 327 came out in 57 for the big Nash and Hudson (only Ambo and Hornet made the last year of both Nash and Hudson badged cars) and the special edition 57 Rebel Anthony Myrick shows (the silver w/gold spear Rambler -- only color available!). The 327 was used in the 1958-59 "Ambassador by Rambler" and later Rambler Ambassador through 1966. Kind of funny the way they marketed it for 58-59.
