Hi.... I was told about a 1932 Ford 3 window , but its all apart and scattered in 3-4 garages of other junk, is there an online parts book that I can printout and send to them ? they are not really car people but if they saw pictures or drawings hopefully they can find most of it thanks for the help Beaulieu
Is there any reason you can't go with them to these garages ?,..... it would be less confusing for all involved.
Send them pictures? Are you nuts? Mortgage the house, get a divorce, empty the credit cards, and head out with a trailer!
UHHHH ......its 1500 miles away , my friend will look for the stuff there, but we still need a parts book with the drawings to findd some of the stuff among the other junk.... hey its only a 32 3 window......
drive there now with a trailer and get the big part and anything you can ! or someone else will !!!!!!!!!!
For ID...you would need 1932 chassis parts and 1932 body parts books, both of which do a poor job illustrating what you need. Lots of pictures of oil pump drive gears and transmission slingers, none of the basic assemblies of a '32. You MUST have a '32 detail nut along in person, as every dang little bit of a '32 is worth its weight in gold (or twice that if it's a 3-W only part), and you need to get every scrap ID'd. Ain't no paper substitute for a lifetime of scrounging deuce parts.
Priority 1. Find out where the body is Buy it Priority 2. Find out where the fenders, hood & grille& shell are Buy it Priority 3. Find out where the frame/chassis is Buy it. Priority 4. Doesn't matter
In a moment of true compassion for a fellow HAMBer, I would like to volunteer to fly to where the parts are and identify them , I think Bruce Lancaster might like to join me on this little journey, Most likely it really isn't a 1932 Ford 3 Window and this will save you the trip and aggravation . In fact I am about 99% sure that it isn't a 32 Ford ,..... just pm me the name, address, contact person and all other pertenant information, And I will be glad to prove it isn't a 32 Ford, or a old car of any kind,............. Comm'on now,... you can trust me !
Yeah, from your description I think it's most likely a '52 Plymouth four door. Or a small cement mixer. If you DO want to waste your time, swing by C&G or Sacramento, pick up the two books mentioned and the '32 service bulletins, and go...then you can resell the books on the HAMB to recoup the cost of having that old Plymouth towed away.
ummmm not too interested in a Plymouth,,,,I have a couple pictures and its a 32 Ford ....or a 32 Peugeot maybe ! I am always so happy to know my friends here in HAMB will help me out and move those parts for me , But I hear someone is starting Ascot style Figure 8 races again , and I think the 32 would really be a hit Beaulieu
Yeah !,..... what he said !, you said in post #13 you had a couple pictures,..... inquiring minds confused want to know.
Photos....are you crazy , its not going to happen till its mine and in my trailer , Too many Vultures around here oops sorry they are not Vultures , just friendly HAMB guys looking to help me figure out thats its really a Maytag !
What about all those drawings at http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/flathead_partsdrawings_links.htm ? You know, stuff like that. ~Jason
