Good Day EH! I just joined because of the thread regarding the "New" Ontario laws since I have some knowledge about the problem. On to me I'm a lifelong car nut owning modified or customized cars since I was 19. Now 68 Been through the carshow, drag race street rod etc lives till today I own three modified cars two running and one about to run. I have a 1941 Mercury Coupe, 1987 Camaro IROC Z and a soon to be running 1932 ford Highboy. I am tired of cruise nights (Rod Sits) and simply enjoy driving the cars whenever possible. Nothing I own is too good to leave in the garage and a little rain won't hurt them either. The roadster has no top, no radio, no stereo however I built the exhaust with the loadest mufflers I could find.
Man, oh man, I couldn't agree more. I put my car in a show a few weeks ago to benefit the local cops and I remembered why I hadn't entered a show since the Motor-Rama at the Great Western Auditorium in East LA in 1967! Geez, lawn chairs everywhere, everyone in a "car show" t-shirt, and we were boxed in all day watching the local "community leaders" pass judgement on our cars. OK, OK, I learned. Maybe in another 40 years, but for now, I just want to drive. Like you, I'm sure, lets just drive "somewhere", "anywhere". I don't care. I'm a pre-geezer at 56 and I'll have plenty of time for lawn chairs later. So, no more "show and shines" for me. You can't enjoy listening to your (lack of) mufflers sittin in a freekin chair. I like your style!!!!! Mazooma1
