as usuall nothing ever goes wright.i didnt get the flexplate till 10:30,the holes were too small, the bolts were too short{i put a 1/4'' crank spacer in for the converter}etc.its in but i still have to put conv.bolts in dist, plugs, etc.the flexplate he drilled was the wrong one with some pretty bad teeth.its in but im not sure for how long.im going to put the starter in today and try it.if there is no problems im going to put the plugs in{more compression}it all is good maybe start it.i am pretty happy with 58lbs oil-pressure with the drill.

  7. Cool to see the Kid involved, looks like a couple more years of grunt labour and he'll be ready to slide behind the wheel. Working with my son on our projects is this best of times for me. Keep up the good work!

well i got to make 3 p***es wednesday.first p*** i took it real slow and pulled the shoot at the end at about 108mph.it work great except i had to hit the gas to get to the end of the return road.i also pulled to}and it went 11.78 at 113.the last p*** i change the front jets and got 11.62 at 115.i still need to take more fuel out of it and add some more timming, but it will have to wait till next week for the g***er nationals.im hopeing to get alot more out of it but if not atleast im not going backwards.

well all went good for the first 12 p***es the all wnt south for the 13th.i think the bearing delaminated, spun then decided to jump the fence on me.it hade great oil pressure and didnt give me any sign of a problem.the #2 rod bearing is still there and the crank journal looks great except there is only about have of the bearing left.i have heard of clevite having problems delaminating on amc engines but i thought it would be fine.all i can say is im happy it was #1 not #5 because when it came out i was doing over 108 mph and most of the oil was up top and in the rear sump.i can replace the engine but if i would have hurt someone else i dont think i could handle it.ill try again this winter and will be back out next year.hopefully BIGGER BADER STRONGER!!!!!
