I have 53 sedan converting to open rear end.
Still have 235 and I have 3 speed Muncie and the bell housing. I found a 55 rear axle as well. Now I’m looking for a driveshaft. Is there a driveshaft that’s perfect fit that I can find junkyard? Or search for 55-64 Chevy driveshaft?

    '55 - 57 3 speed driveshaft fits as is. '55 - '57 Powerglide/OD shaft is off by 1 1/2'', '58 up is 2 piece.

I used an old driveshaft I had laying around. Needed to shorten about 1.25 inches with my 235, T5 and 56 Chevy car rearend. All this in my 52 Chevy Ute. Couldn't tell you what that driveshaft was from, but shortened myself. So only time and no having a shop do it. Lengthen one requires new tube and best left to a driveshaft shop.
