Great thread, went back and read some of it but will finish it later. I want to say something about my Chevy install. I bought a 265" chev in 1956. In 57 I installed it in my 31 2dr A bone. It was a blast from the beginning, got lots of attention and won some street races. Then in 57 I got a deal on a 32 2dr so I swapped the sbc in it right away, was amazed how easy a swap it was compared to the A bone. Any way I want to say the reaction I got with both of those cars, was like Wow! what engine is that? Cool oh! its a chevy! hey that fits right in there! there were no negative reactions to it back then. So my point is that we havto kinda take into account of the times and era this 3 window was in. this is a really great build and im going back to finish it
What ever happened to the Olds motor that Ed was originally planning to install,my 37 Chevy p/u could stand a decent motor and if its still around the Columbus area I would be interested in it.
Jeff, I don't know if it's still in his garage or not. I would have serious doubts about that motor turning over. If you think you can bring it back to life, and if Ed still has it, I am certain that something can be worked out. Hey SOMEBODY! I don't care about your likes or dislikes when it comes to cars. I do find it disturbing that you can't proof read your own writing. What does "POWERED BE KOREAN" mean?
The next time you talk to him see if he still has the motor, its probably just as bad as one that sat with the hood open for many years but if it was covered by some of the junk that was in the garage it might be worth trying to see if it can be saved.
