Weather here finally getting warmer. With Sunday’s temp in the 60s and today being similar, I figured the garage had warmed enough to wake these rides up. Thankfully both started but I can see a new battery in my future for the truck as she cranked slow and I needed to give it a boost with the charger.
For sure this early warm weather most of the country is seeing brings happiness for many. I'm also getting the drift that many feel its a bit early and we will pay for this warm weather, but I'm one that says "Bring on the warm weather!" My wife has flowers blooming (as in fully open) in her front flower bed on the March 4th. She is pretty excited about that. We are having some wind, thunder and rain right now, and the temps are suppose to drop about 10 degrees over the next few days. We nearly made it to 70 again before the cold front came through.
Woke up to 1” of snow on the ground yesterday morning, gone by afternoon. Woke up to 2” on the ground this morning, still snowing now, but above freezing so hopefully won’t be around too long. So in my neck of the woods, even with the tulips and daffodils and crocuses coming out, IT’S STILL WINTER!!!!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. We got about 15 inches of snow in the last 9 days. Opening day might be April.
Weather has be good here the last couple weeks . guy I work with pulled out his 74 vette this week . mess going to pull the merc outta the garage on Saturday . supposedly we’re getting a mishmash of rain and snow this week end ! just my luck , but it’s coming soon !!!
I had the roadster out a week ago and drove the 38 to Atlantic IA, about an hour away today. We get a little good weather and could easily have a snow storm next week Going through "stuff" last week my mother took pictures of a May snow storm (which was taken some time before 1972) which is somewhat late for SW Iowa.
