Technical Opinion on pertronix?

    I did contact Pertronix to figure out which part number I needed. Gave them the distributor number and everything. They sent a message back saying that they needed the distributor number.

    but it runs with points, so you don't need a pertronix, after all :)

    Yeah. I’ll spend the money on a starter. It has a problem that I guess is common on these engines where the bendix doesn’t stay engaged and pops out when it wants. I found rebuilt starters and the core is only $25 so I’ll keep the old one as a spare and see if I can find a new bendix at some point
