I know this has been discussed before, and its pretty obvious to go Mustang II from TCI, Fatman, etc. but heres my dilemma.... Ive got a Volare clip of my f100 right now, but it needs a rebuild and drop spindles to make the thing driveable.... or for a couple grand more I can upgrade to a new Mustang II kit, is it worth the money to upgrade? Should I stick with the Volare clip and just rebuild it? Has anyone driven both, are their major differences? Thanks for your help....
A lot of people put Volare clips on their trucks, never heard of a problem (assuming it's installed well). I went with a TCI MII kit on my truck, but I see no reason to switch from a Volare. Rebuild it, it should work fine.

I have never driven an effie with a MII,but have driven my 46 coupe with one. My 53 F100 has a volare with dropped spindles and it works great. I bet the MII would also, but why change?
just put a volare in my f100 and drove a buddys panel a little bit with a volare. works good. however, one thing you can do instead of getting drop spindles is z the frame. oh and with the volare you can make adjustments with torsion bars. better than trying different springs or cutting springs.
The ride on the Volare is as good or better than the MII. Pretty sure the Volare has more available travel. Since you would have to Re Clip the frame to switch , if it was done right the first time, I would leave, and rebuild the Volare.
I know of a '54 Effy that got a Volare notched into the frame as far as practical and the only way to put it in the weeds was put it on the rubber bump stops. NO suspension travel! Try a late Jaguar, XJ from the '90's I think is the one to use, weld four tabs on the frame then it's a bolt in. Parts available too, unlike some of the unobtanium Volare stuff. Reality check...TCI and Fatman Companies are getting OLD. What do you do for specialized parts for them if they close the doors on you?
doesnt sound like a volarie problem, sounds like an install problem. I have MII and am happy, its a bit stiff with the carrera coil overs but very responsive. My only dislike is the horrible turning radius. The Volarie can be adjusted with torsions, I vote, stay with it and rebuild it.
I have a volare clip I want to install on my '50 dodge pickup but it measures way too wide for the truck's frame rails....anybody out there done this install? your experience would be helpful.
Thanks for the opinions, its sounding like the vote is to stay with the Volare, which sounds pretty good to me because that will save me money!
