Today I was offered a 34 3W, unfortunately not a Ford, but a Chevrolet. Still they do make a good looking car after a decent chop. Why is it when your not looking for another project they show up?

Its missing a rear fender and a hood, and all wood will have to be replaced with steel as usual, it's a fairly straight body and bare frame only. I'd have to come up with a fender and hood, and figure out what kind of front axle to put in it, same dropped axle setup as my 32 Ford ch***is I guess?

What would you guys expect to pay for one, I dont want to insult or pay too much either, If it was a Ford I wouldnt hesitate..Chevys have all that wood which is a bummer for sure.

  2. Well is it one of those deals where you ask the guy how much & he says what'll 'ya give me for it? Try150.00 & when he comes back and says 250.00 tell 'em sure...:D That is one thought, next that would make a nice hot rod (leave the hood & fenders off) just my 2 cents worth.

I think the 33/34 Chevy 3 windows are just as cool as the Fords. Sure the wood is a pain in the ***! Price would depend on the shape of the body. These days a couple thousand wouldn't be out of line. Offer $1500 and see where it goes.

They were highly sought after back in the 70s. Beautiful cars. Then Outlaw made the gl*** bodies and they became over done quickly.

I'm building a '33 chevy 5window. Nice lines, and for God's sakes at least I don't see tons of them at every show I go to....that's my favorite part.

The wood replacement can be a pain, but at least the exposed portion of the door jambs is metal, so most of the square tubing work is behind that and covered up by the interior. Just my 2cents.
