I've got a 49 chevy sedan that is go'n to be get'n a smal blk,Want'n some opinions on the pros and cons of stock front end with disk upgrade as compared to after market or donner car front clip. Over the past six months I have been re building the front end(as time and money would allow),replaced king pins,a arm bushings and pins,tie rods and ends I drive the thing every day so I trust the front end,have'nt had any problems(yet). But I still get people telling me that I would be better off buy put'n a nova,stang etc. under it,This is my only ride and the price and time of cut'n and redo'n the front end does'nt seem like the best way to go for now. Any opinions?
Sounds like it's fine right now. Upgrade to disk brakes, but other than that, I'd stay with what you have. Spend your money and time on other upgrades. You can always do the mustang 2 later on if you really feel the need. If it works don't fix it!
