First I've located this two door that I'm 90% sure is a '40 Ford. Not sure of the year. It has one savable door. What should I offer for it? I think it would just be for trade but I can't leave it there. I also brought home some goodies. Air cleaner housing (don't know what it is but it'll look good on the Nailhead). Cool radiator shell that could make the front of my modified. Some stamped steel wheels and a funky turn signal housing. Check em out. Dan
'39/'40 Ford sedan body...don't know what the grille shell is...looks like something off a tractor...the air cleaner is missing the snout..looks like late '50's/early 60's GM ...old truck turn signal...artillery wheels, possibly early Chev... I like where the spare is located in the sedan body!!! R-
Does that say 4 1/4?? I never heard of that, but thats what it looks like to me. I'm looking for 4 1/2s.
probably 4 1/2 because he isn't maeasuring across the C/L. 4 1/2 inch pattern measures aprox 4 1/4 across holes. If that makes any sense
This has probably been covered before but on a five bolt lug pattern, you can measure from the outside of one stud to the centerline of an opposite stud and get a very good approximation of the bolt circle measurement. I'd call these 4 1/4". Real close if not the same to early Cuda and Valiant. Dan
Thanks for the confirmation on the '40 Fordness. Also the MM tractor grille info. I probably won't use the wheels so if someone can use them, PM me. Dan
mid 30s mopar used wheels like that. I thought they all have a extra hole for line up pin. If its 4 3/4 could be like 36 buick or the larger gm.
Aircleaner is off a '57 Chevy 283 Power-Pack 4-barrel engine, minus the snorkel of course. ----- Bart -----
Thanks Bart for that tidbit. Now I'll have to go back and see if the bottom is there. I wonder if there are replacement snorkels. Dan
Those wheels appear to be 37 mopar wheels. The trucks had them, and they have a 4-1/2 inch circle with 5 bolts.
