beater but no one will even know what you're talkin' about. You could get by with unfinished custom or custom project mayhaps, customs from that period had paint. its got a big mill if I recall so maybe you could get by with hot rod pickup. I don't really know about street rod, I think they are still considered to be older than '49. I know Cow Boy Cadillac.
Yeah, definitely a truck. The giveaway is the bed where the backseat should be. You can see it in most of the pics...
I would say it's a neat old truck that isn't quite finished yet! I don't know if you're going to appreciate ALL the opinions yer going to get.
Actually I like the basic truck I even thought about trying to trade for it before my "old" friend had it. There are a few things about it that don't do it for me but I've never found or owned a perfect ride. And the things I don't like I would chage to make it my own. You have to admit a little paint and general cleanup it would be an awsom driver.
FE series big block, relatively straight body, bootyfab rear (tailgate and rollpan) What's the story on the suspension? I'd say it has potential, but it's going to be a lot of work to get it going right, and safely. That's the hard thing about adopting someone elses aborted project, fixing it right can be harder than doing it right the first time. If it were me, I'd gut it, redo everything, and then roll it. Those are good old trucks though.
G/B If I recall from the earlier adz its a big inch caddy. And I think that C/J has already gone through the brakes etc. its a driver now or was not too long ago. It doesn't matter who builds one it seems that the piddly **** always either gets overlooked or gerry rigged. I got a thing for spliced and patched wires for instance, they work OK but it just never gets it for me. I don't really mind the pan or the tailgate, I would probably want to do something with the front bumper and loose the caps on the wheels but its just a matter of personal preference I think. I still think that Cow Boy Cadillac nails it.
Nah, a truck has 18 wheels and a 12 speed looks like a pretty good start on a parts hauler to me. Needs louvers though
hmmm. how do I say this without sounding like a **** head... that looks like alot of long evenings, money, and busted knuckles. aside from that, it's a good bodystyle with a giant motor in it. looks like a dragster hauler/potential push truck to me.
Needs another application of gray primer over the flames....and it'd be a great shoptruck/parts chaser...
