Wagons have a history as popular drag race material dating back to the early sixties, that more-doors and uh, mini-vans lack. The Hamb is densely populated with recovering street rodders that overlook this. And HRP, I agree, if he buys a '32 Ford 4 door sedan, or a '32-'34 pheaton, he probably wont lose his shirt on the deal... On the other hand, If he is thinking 4 door '58 Bel-air or '62 Fairlane, all bets are off.
