OPTIMA Batteries... What do we know about them?

    I sell Optima batteries. We have very good luck with them. Our return/warranty rate is well under 1% Of course, the one I had in my El Camino only lasted years...
    The on the side trick works because it is a sealed case. Hell, you can mount them upside down, if you'd like. The technology goes well beyond the spiral cell design.They have all sorts of neat things in em. I will definitely be buying one for my daily when it*****s out (factory Ford battery almost 6 years old)
    I do recommend using a battery maintainer for the off months to keep the charge up. Do that, and they should be bullet proof... just not frozen paintball proof!!!!

    Only on the HAMB will you find someone who shot a car battery with a frozen paint ball!! I love it!!!! [​IMG]

    Never really looked at Optima but next one I buy will be Optima after reading everyones comments.

    I looked at them at Autozone today, $110. for the 720 CCA red top.

    Checking Sears tommorrow.

    I have a battery tender that I use, that's what makes this so frustrating.

    As infrequently as I get a chance to drive the damn thing, I would prefer it start. </font>
