I have a 1955 Ford F100 with a floor mounted Indy shifter for my three speed. I need to extend the softer another 6 inches to clear the bench seat. Is there another shifter I can bolt on to clear the bench. Im currently hitting the bench seat in first gear. Im trying to find out my options. Got on another shifter or get the shifter I have extended? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jerry

Hurst used to sell different sticks for their shifters, I haven’t looked in years to see if they are still available or not. If you can’t find a new one, you might find a used one on eBay or somewhere else.

Another thing you might do is build an adapter to mount the stick a little farther forward or lean it a bit. Use good hardware to bolt it to the stick and the shifter nub. Cutting and welding your current stick would be a last resort.
