the Blow Up screen is actually cool. about a year or 2 ago i watched Repo Man in downtown L.A. and they used the inflatable screen it was pretty cool. some company called Original Alamo tours the country showing films in the citys they were filmed. they did Bullit the weekend after in San Francisco. or if you want to go to the REAL drive in you can always go to The Vineland Drive-In in the city of Industry / La puente it still gets packed and they still show current movies.
Alright...whos going? Who will be the first one to sneak in via trunk? Probably me. http://www.ocfair.com/ocf/Calendar/StarVu.asp Star-Vu Drive-In <TABLE cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=2 width="91%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="49%" height=361>Opening Friday, May 18. You're kidding right? Most people take chairs and sit in front of their cars. That's what we did at the CARS premier in Montclair. Folding chairs and a boombox.
Yes, do not forget your boombox. If you dont have one you will be screwed. If you have a radio installed in your car then your set. Dont forget the candy, snacks and "adult beverages".
I've got a big roll of bright yellow "POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS" tape I could bring, to save us all a big spot together. That should work, once!
which one the 8pm or the 10pm. I'll go but my panel is just my daily driver not super special........
I'll drive down there tomorrow and scope out a meeting spot. There's plenty of parking lots across from the Fairgrounds. Shouldn't be a problem.
my friend (someguy) lives a few blocks away i'll see if he wants to go. so it's safe to say the 8pm showing on friday the 18th and a yet to be determend meeting spot.
