This is a great month for HotRod events in New England, starting this weeking with Orange and Old Timers. So who's going to them?
They have like a 300 foot track at Orange right? Which brings me to this, slightly OT posting. Tri-River Dragway in Kentucky is a 300 foot drag strip with some pretty fast cars. I found it by accident on the net, and there's another that's 330 feet long (1/16th of a mile). There are a lot of YouTube.Com videos of it. Better than no track at all! Most airports are county owned, and I can't see why they, and the FAA, could be more receptive to using condemned runways for drag racing; make a little money, less street racing, better use of law enforcement, and the list goes on, IMHO. Just a thought. Butch/56sedandelivery.
No, they won't let you pay at the gate and pre-reg ended Sept 1. A lot of guys just park in spectator, pretty good car show there and it's only 15$. You should come down for Orange Drags Sat, then Ty-Rods on Sunday
I do plan on taking in both days again. I got up early, figured out my PayPal. It took my reservation.Did not know of Sep 1st cutoff until i just read your post. I will try to call I called, the Mailing cutoff was Sep 1. Still taking online reservations. Thanks again. Weather looks good.
Just a thought for you guys coming from out of town. There's a great cruise on Friday night at Kimball's Farm in Lancaster. Awesome seafood and ice cream. It's on Rt 70 between Rt 2 and Rt 117, just a few miles west of the Ty-Rods show. Saturday night cruise is at 228 Leominster Rd is Rt 12, exit 6 off Rt 190, just south of Rt 2 and Rt 117 See you guys there!
