ORANGE Paint jobs!! What chu got?

It was posted in the other orange car thread, but what the heck. 69 Camaro hugger orange.

 

Not H.A.M.B. friendly but....here's a stock car I painted using candy mandarine orange over silver base and burnt copper flake..the sign blank was the test blank to make sure candy didn't bleed through flames.

 

My favorite still is AMC "big bad orange". I don't have a sample to show, but dig through your magazines and find a picture of Dennis kyles '32 hiboy, (lots of shots over the years in RODDERS JOURNAL, old AMERICAN RODDER cover car, Peter Vincent's coffee table book HOT ROD,) then turn up the brightness for the real color view!

 

Can anyone show the diffrence between hugger orange and california orange?

I love orange on muscle cars, not sure about that colour on street based, traditional hot rods though.

Heres my Ranchero, paint is called Firemist Orange got it from Kustomshop.com. Its a nice metallic orange.

 

Hey Chalupa, I used the same firemist orange. It really POPS out in full sun.

 

Im building a driver outa a car (OT) my mom bought new in 1968,a Montego MX ragtop,it was orig, Calypso Coral Orange...it will be again,good chance my Roadglide will be also.......

Where's Scott Sullivan's Cheez Whiz '55 Chevy. One of my favorites for sure. I had a hugger orange 400hp S15 Jimmy. Bad ass little truck.
