I see we've got several members here in Oregon.
Where are you all located and how far would you travel for a meet up?
    I'm in Myrtle Creek.

Meetups are great. I belong to/moderate the '57 Ford forum, and to date I have met 13 of those members. (LOL, alot of them past members......maybe it's me, lol.) Even from as far away as New Zealand! Nothing better imho. Some have stayed at our house when p***ing thru Amarillo.
I've only met a few members from here, but next Saturday, Oct 3, I'll get to meet one more....Guthriesmith. Looking forward to doing the 100 mile rod run with his club, and meeting Jeff and I'm sure many others. Makes me wonder about Okiedokie (one member I have met with)..haven't seen any posts from him lately.
Sorry to disrupt your thread, Stig. Just wanted to add my 2cents about the fun in meeting with guys we only otherwise knew by forum names.

Hey Stig! I'm up in Salem, but I love travelling the state and would be happy to head south. Since my '53 is barely a roller - I wouldn't be able to show it off, but I would excited to bounce ideas and talk about build ideas. Let me know what you have in mind - I'm always down for a road trip!

****olian BBQ sounds good to me! Would travel to Springfield no problem. I am in Rickreall, just west of Salem. Mark

Just got back from a three day ride from Astoria to Crescent City on 101 so I'm ready for some ****olian.
Is weekday or weekend better? I'm retired so any day is good for me.

I’m good either way - my schedule is pretty flexible these days...heck, we could even do a lunch on a Wednesday if that’s what works. My territory for work goes down to Roseburg, so it’s just a matter of scheduling it into my day...

    What say you, nosford?

I am also an old retired guy so free most of the time. I have car club stuff Tuesday afternoons and Thursday nights but could skip one of those if necessary so pretty flexible. Lunch would work as well!

How does a Monday for lunch in Springfield work? I could shoot down there and be there by noon...get some business done afterwards and be home before dinner. This next Monday would work if it works for you guys?

OK, all done, we had some great food, good talk and some driving time. It was great to meet you two and talk cars.
There's Mark in the cap, me in the middle and I'm sorry cascadian, I forgot your name as soon as you told me. (the only reason I remembered Mark's name is he put it in an earlier post. It's forgiven, I'm 70 now.)

It was a wonderful visit! Great to get to know you guys - and I’m sure I’ll be calling you when I’m panicking over a choice I’ve made or a mistake I’m about to! Can’t wait to cruise together in the future!

Yea, always good to talk with like minded people! Amazing how we might have crossed paths many years ago in other states, small world. Good lunch too!

Well - looks like I'll be moving down to your neck of the woods Stig. Territory realignment means I need to be around Roseburg. I looked at a place up Springbrook Rd in M.C. today - has a great shop on the site...time will tell where we land. I'll be sure to look you up when I get down there.

Yeah, you definitely need to do that. I've got a friend on Springbrook, it about a mile from my house.

Hope you do get a place with a BIG shop! The only drawback is I HATE MOVING! Haven't moved in 25 years but have moved everything out of my place twice after it flooded, once in 1996 and again in 2007. The second time we tore the house down and built a new one five feet higher than the old one. Lived in a travel trailer for two years and haven't been camping since! Make sure you check the county maps for where the flood plain is before you buy something.
