I have a chance to buy an original '32 grill shell and insert. Very solid, not filled, original blue paint still visible, straight insert but dulled. What is a reasonable, MIDWEST price? Not trying to steal it - just want to be fair and treated fairly. Opinions? Thanks for the help.
Car or truck grille ,Also Gearhead world has great repo cargrill shells ,Ive sold a few ,1. pat pryor and Ridin dirty ,Grill shell is great and the original insert fits great ,Repo insert was lousy in my opinion ,
I have paid 12/1400 for good shells and inserts. Most of the time I sell the original insert and use a Dales on which I have the bars powdercoated Black. I recently bought a NOS shell only that had never had anything bolted to it for 750.00.
I saw a couple posted somewhere on here a week or so ago. they guy wanted $300 per for them. a very fair price if you ask me
i paid 800 for an open drive 3 speed and a shell that was in near flawless condidtion with the excetion that a bullet hole on the side had been repaired and done right. dont think i stole it but its one of the nicest un-restored originals Ive ever seen. the trani though didn't have a 39 shifter was in awesome shape as well. this all took place about 4-6 months ago
