Original Dan Woods T Bucket

  1. Ya lost me here. The Uncertain T was built by Steve Scott, so what does it have to do with this thread?

Your right, how does $9,500 sound? The guy can cut a HAMB'r a deal. Then a build/resto thread caps off a happy ending. Is bueno, si? Oui!

Whoever does not think this is a kick butt auto is on drugs. This is the best bucket that has ever come up for sale on the HAMB...with great provenance.
Polish the brass and put it in the Smithsonian!

  6. Personally guys, I think this Bucket has no value at all being restored. Just look at the steering and how the drop arm is hanging down so much waiting for a hit. That guy Dan Woods may of designed some very nice " Show cars " but hell, who would like to drive that car very far, certainly not me without cutting that front suspension off and reworking the whole front end including the steering. I didn't realize so many here were into trailer queens as this car being restored would only be good enough to drive in and out of a trailer. I believe any car build should be safe to drive and that is fast on a freeway without wondering if you will survive if one goes faster then walking speed. Well that is my opinion.

I hear ya....but it is a gas to drive it....nail it off the line....slap shift it from first to second and lift the front wheels off the ground....then pull it up onto the trailer!!!

I think we are okay with the Music Man and Westside Story...as long as we don't cross over into Sound of Music territory!

Glad to see someone here found their sense of humor! Hope it goes to a good home (Dons) and thanks for sharing!

  17. Well, 2 days to go and Don's watching where it is going and deciding if he needs another project right now. Kind of depends on whether or not my buyer for one of the Harley's comes thorough or not.

So, will the new owner continue this thread or start a new one? Congratulations to both of you, restored or left as is, either way it is a great car. Bob

    Really??? Cutting it up???
Would you have cut up the Hirohata Merc too. Maybe made it a convertible?
The Emporer was probably a POS too? Maybe redo the radiator shell?

It's call a little bit of history. Something that drove the hobby at the time. They need to be savored. Passed on to the next generation so that they understand where it started and how it evolved.

But that's just my opinion. And like they say, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, but most of them stink.
