   Thinking of using the original Friction shocks on my '31 Chevy
   
   1. Is there a way to bench test these to make sure they are up to par
   2. If they need rebuilt, can they easily? Or is there someone who specializes in them?

   I'm pretty sure you mean delco lovejoy hydraulic lever shocks not friction shocks. Apple Hydraulics rebuilds them.
