I recently bought a 1948 Dodge B1B 1/2 ton pick up for my son & I to work on. Its pretty much rust free , straight w/ all the main components except for the wiring harness which the rats ate. Some kind of critters had been nesting in this truck for the last umpteen years while it rested under a tree. Cleaning out all the 'nesting' material was disgusting. Our 1st goal is to just get it running. Since most wiring & the battery are gone, I'm trying to decide whether to stick with the 6 VDC system or switch to 12 Volt. I'm looking forward to hearing about other folks experiences rebuilding 'Pilot House' Dodge trucks and flat head 6 cylinder engines.

Ya might have better luck finding some information on the Pilot-House forum...I drew up a wiring diagram that incorporates a turn signal circuit here

Welcome, you will find all kinds of Mopar truck info here. I personally think this place is the largest collection of old Mopar truck owners around even more than the specific Forums.
