My friend, Don, knows there was a photo taken of the event and wants a copy. Early 70's Boeing was testing the landing gear for 747s and needed pictures between the wheels of the landing gear as the plane was landing. the cameras they mounted in the landing gear or on the plane vibrated too much to get a clear shot. My friend Don was working at a Chevy dealer up there (he's from Fife), and the head mechanic, who's name begings with Tit...something, was hired by Boeing to build a camera car (Big block 69 Camaro) that could be brought up to speed (140mph) quickly enough from the end of the runway to get behind the landing wheels as it was landing and take pictures and movies of the area between the wheels. He was the camera man, after he changed pants from the first run, they made 30 or so runs to get what they needed. He's looking for a copy of one of the photo somebody else took of this stunt. He's been to the Museum up there and looked through the archives and didn't find a copy. Does anybody else have any ideas?
