Now he just has to spend the next 15 years teaching his cat how to drive.

Not too many people on the planet who could do what he did. Amazing. And I get excited when I make a bracket from scratch!

Yeah, but to keep it low buck I'd stick with the cat. Monkeys are expensive, not to mention their attitude. They think they know everything. You can get a bag of cats for free just about anywhere.

  10. Totally on topic as far as I am concerned. I get agitated waiting for him to finish a sentence. But what a masterpiece. Just to look at it is cool, but to think it is functional is beyond belief.

  11. That's amazing. No doubt. But, i couldn't imagine all the stuff i would have missed out on, in the 20,000 hours/12 years that were sacrificed

  12. fantastic piece of engineering....can't really see the point though....he could have built a real car with is own engine and got the "music"...and be able to drive it!!...still can't take anything way from him though he is a fantastic engineer

Yeah, but the cat is liable to drive off and disappear for two or three days at a time. At least that's what mine do... Mine come home when they're hungry. That guy's cat would come home for more gas!

I saw this model and heard it run several years ago at Monterey. Amazing doesn't begin to describe it. The sound is phenomenal, very much like the real thing. BTW, Leno isn't fond of Ferraris. Now if this guy made a nice working model Stanley or Doble that might get jay's interest. I'd like to see the guy do a Novi roadster.

Now what would be funny is if Johnny Knoxville would run into that garage with a sledgehammer and smash that thing to bits in front of this guy. (o.k. so that really wouldn't be all that funny).

I guess I don't really get the 1/3 scale thing either.

It is very cool. Very impressive. Very scary that that guy would spend 12 years on this.

but damn.....I would think this guy could have spent 12 years developing something to help his fellow man or something. Maybe cured cancer with this type of focus and drive.

Instead he built a model car. ;)

I wonder why he didn't go 1/1 scale -- might as well.

    I doubt it.

......I've given his obsession a thought. I guess its no more a waste of one's life than what the rest of us are doing.

    :D :D

  28. I did that once, but it was a model of a 1973 Pontiac Astre and nobody cared...

Fantastic!!! It sounded great too. To have the talent to convert the pictures to drawing and them make the molds for all the parts, and wire it and make it all work... I can't get toast out of the toaster without smoke and sparks.

Haha, as he kills Johnny Knoxville and then the rest of the Jacka$$ crew, then the guy from Top Gear. I am sure after that he would kill himself.

    That thing is amazing though.
