Like I said if you try a better distro you'd have more luck with hardware supported in it, not all distros are the same... as for the "text editors don't compare".. well that's probably because you don't know HTML... you merely drag and drop, you don't code... big difference...

I use good old freebie Mozilla composer, mostly I do wysiwyg but I fix the code when I have to. But then I don't do fancy web pages...tables are about as complicated as I get!

 

I can't believe nobody suggested a clean re-install of Windows. Do that, use Firefox for your web browser, don't just quickly click on pop up ads and alerts, don't open attachments or take candy from strangers.

Seriously, I'm a pretty nerdy guy and I decided to "watch" spyware on one of our client's systems. If you kill the process it's running in, it just reinstalls itself in 3 other semi-random places with semi-random names. You could never know where it is running or what it is called. So any spyware removal tool isn't going to be able to completely eliminate it. Nasty stuff that is.
