I was reading a routine environmental article in the paper last year until I got to this paragraph:

    http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/241542_superfund21.html

"BJ Cummings, coordinator of a community coalition overseeing cleanup of the nearby Duwamish River, declined to comment on the quality of the cleanup itself, but applauded the idea of not only cleaning up pollution, but giving the public access to the land.

"We're looking for habitat improvements. We're looking for public access and public use along with the cleanup, and that's what's happened at Pacific Sound Resources," Cummings said.

I'm at a loss for words! :D Apparently she's a local environmentalist. Here's a pic to PROVE I'm not making this up:

    And her bio: http://www.activistcash.com/biography.cfm/bid/2789

There is a battery vendor in town here, his name is Richard Beiter. Bet he doesn't want to be called Dick. Grew up with a girl named Mary Warner ( marijuana). My last name is Baum, always thought it would be cool to name my son Adam. A few of us friends were talking about what to name our kids. Dave Shopp wanted to name his Candy, coolest was Ed Ayres, he would name his kid "Pubic".

True one up here in Indy. Family by the last name of Fagg named their son Harrison. Now add to that his dad is about 6'3 280lbs, and this poor kid is going to be known as Big Harry Fagg all through his school days.

The public school I worked for based our email addresses on our first initial last name so when I married the Colonel my email changed to Stoner@fortsmithschools.org. Real appropriate for a grade school teacher huh? I figured they'd catch it and modify it in some way, but you bet your ass when I retired, the account was deleted that day before I got home.

At work, a woman named Susie Cain married a guy who's last name was also Cain. They did a geneology investigation and everything to make sure they weren't related somewhere down the family tree. They weren't. She decided to keep her maiden name, and hyphenate it with his so she wasn't giving up her "identity" and individualism. So now she's Susie Cain-Cain. I don't care what the geneologist said, I think that proves her family tree doesn't have many branches.

Seems like I remember a dentist in Sylvania, Oh named Dr. Crown, and another named Dr. Payne (though that one has been said).

Lakeland, FL has a funeral home/crematorium with the names of the proprietors: Krispy Coon. Yes, it's in the minority part of town. To the politically correct, that's not funny, but...yeah, it is.

My last name is Ocock. There's a whole long list of names that we can not use.
    Girl: Joy (Joy Ocock)
    Gloria (Glory Ocock)
    Anita (Anita Ocock)

Boy: Hunter (Hunter Ocock--he'll be gay)
Phil (Phil Ocock. He'll be gay too)
Harry (His friends will call him Harry Old Cock. My brother's nickname in college was "Dirty" for this very reason)

And there are more. Lots more.
The guys at work (and your mom) nicknamed me "Miles", and I'm going to paint it on my race car.
