OT- ? for Austin Texas Guys

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by justinm, Feb 5, 2004.

  1. Hey Austin Texas,

Harold Ray Live in Concert is gonna be in town for SXSW and i got some questions.
    1) I know that most of the action is downtown around 6th street, but is there any preferable places to stay? maybe a really cool motel that just the locals know about or somthing....lemme know.

    2) who's having a party? i'm gonna try and get as many people in as i can for our showcase with Alternative Tentacles, but i'm afraid it's gonna be hard. if you're having a party and want us to get you're neighbors really mad at you let me know- we'll do it for Beer.

3)not really a question. i'm trying to set something up with Tim Kerr's new band Total Sound Group...if this happens i'll post somthing here to let you guys know.

    4) any info about Austin or SXSW would be appreciated. you can just email me if you like

    1. Austin is pretty booked during SXSW- get a room where you can. If possible try the San Hose or Austin Motel.
    Hotel San Jose
    1316 S. Congress Avenue (800) 574-8897

    Austin Motel
    1220 S. Congress Avenue (512) 441-1157

    2. I usually pass on SXSW. Too many people, too hard to get into anything without a megadollar pass. So I dunno. There's always hot rods, music, and pancakes at the Continental Club Sat. daytime though...

    3. Tim Kerr rocks!!

    4. see #2

  3. thanks for the info fatluckys.
i think i'm gonna have to make a trip to the Continental Club on satruday.
i'm hoping to hook-up a show that afternoon or Sunday.
    i'll let you know.
