I was 14. My uncle Tim told me if I helped him put a trany in his car I could take it for a pass.... Trans done and out to the local "strip" / two lane black top we go. I still remeber the look in his eyes when we where in high gear after a few lane changes in his LS7 equipt 68 Camaro and him telling me to lift!!!! Ha! I have never been the same since. Thanks Uncle Tim!:D

The first car I really remember was our 57 Chevy 150 two-door stationwagon..white and my Dad painted the fin section black..He took out the six and put in a 283 for our epic family trailer camping trips..San Antonio to the Canadian border and back, took us three months!..that little red chevron high beam indicator on the dash was a yes or no question answering machine for my sisters and I..we were young, we had no clue Dad was pushing the switch and answering our silly questions, "is Leslie stupid?" my mother laughing..things to do while driving across Montana in 1958..I wanted to be known as Freddy Nutso back then..pulled in to Estes Park at 8500 feet or so, I jumped out, ran over to my first big pine tree, climbed straight to the top, passed out from the exertion at an altitude I wasn't used to and came down like a pinball/ragdoll hitting every branch..haven't been the same since...

When I was a kid 10 or 11, Kmart had the parking lot lights on top of concrete pillars, 3ft across 2ft tall. After an ice storm had knocked a few down, I built a snowman around one of the empty pillars.

After a hour or so wait this guy in a black and yellow mid seventies Bronco, 4x4, jacked up, big tires, gets an eyeful of the snowman.
(Keep in mind this thing is only 2-3 years old)
He stands on the gas and points at the victim, 35-40 mph when he hit it.

Lets just say it had a fairly short wheelbase afterward.
