ok so i was ridin my little crf 50 down the road and my dog was following me. I stoped to talk to one of my friends and my dog sat down on this old guys driveway and me tryin to be nice I told my dog to get out of the mans driveway and before I could finish what I was saying this 85 year old dude came running at me saying is that your ****in dog. I said "yes it is" and he told me that if me and my dog didn't get off his land that he would make me get off his land. I wasn't even on his land i was in the damn road. So after we went up the road 30 ft he went and got a BB-gun out of his garage and told me to go the **** on. We started to go and all of the sudden my dog started to scream,he shot my dog and i was scared ****-less.

Any of ya'll know what to do
i'm only 16 but i'm ready to stab the ****er

Call the cops and make out a report...get your parents to do it, since you are a minor.

    That's ***ault brotha!

  3. That BB gun. I'm sure the cops will want to take it away from him - for his own safety especially. Do him a favor and file a civil complaint against him.

I am in NO WAY endorsing what he did, but is there a leash law in your town?
    I bet there is.

Check your county law first. Might be a leash law, if so you could be out of luck. Your dog could be taken, if you were in Fresno, County CA your *** would be in trouble not his.

I hate crazy people who overreact like he did as much as the next, but I don't think you'll have much on him legally. You could always go for a childish a petty revenge. It's quite the****utic. Maybe write rude words on his lawn in poison. That's make you smile for a few weeks until it grows back.

If you live at home with yout folks I suggest telling them to call the police. Then call the ASPCA. If you call, the cops might beleive the old man......But Im sure they will take his gun away regardless.

I find myself siding with Choprods on this one. It ain't worth it. Just laugh it off and be the bigger/better person. **** in 10 yrs he'll be pushin' up daisies and you'll still have you whole life ahead of you.

    Or-

You could draw or paint a picture of the incedent, throw it in your sock drawer, and in 10 years get a really good laugh.

Trade the dog to a junkyard for credit, sell the crf and buy a nice flathead intake and sit home and stare at it and ask the old guy if he has any old friends with any old cars in the garage.

There seems to be a lot missing from this story....but I have a feeling it doesn't matter anyway. You seem like a nice innocent young fellow - it's a shame that you had to have contact with a crazy old coot who shot your dog with a BB gun without any provocation from you.

    This is a little confusing...

"he shot my dog and i was scared ****-less."

    and

"Any of ya'll know what to do
i'm only 16 but i'm ready to stab the ****er"

    but this.....

"and we need a smilie that is flipping a bird"

shows that you have a kind heart and know how to interact with people.

    Good luck.

Ya know, sounds pertty easy to me. Just one old coot. Chain your damn dog up at home and don't ride your crf by his place again. All three of your lives (your's, your dog's, and the old coot's) will be a little better.

My daddy always told me that there are only a cretain number of fights your going to win during your life. Pick the ones you have the best chance of winning, or pick the ones that mean the most to you, and then fight the best fight you can. Leave the rest go.

This one sounds like a "leave it go" fight to me.

I live in a pretty surburban area, have all my life, so I guess I dont have much experience with crazy old hillbillies with BB guns, but come on. The dog wasnt hurting anyone, the kid was removing the dog as the guy came out, the kid followed the guys directions. What kind of ***hole shoots a kids dog? I'm sorry, but that *** deserves to get ****ed up.

Same as the above, you're never gonna win, whippersnapper! Odds are the pigs are just gonna h***le you. Kick some rocks and let it go. It's ****ed up he shot your dog, but you were in the wrong too, dog not on a leash, on that motorscooter thingimibob. He sounds like a bitter old coot, I'm sure he's shot plenty more dogs than just yours. As tempting as revenge is, avoid the dark side Luke and just leave him be. He'll be gone before you know it.

You know what? Sometimes you need to stand up and do the right thing, and not just roll over and say "screw it...I'll probably come out looking like **** while the other guys smells like a rose."
The guy shot your dog with a BB gun. Even if there is a leash law, and even if you were causing trouble (I'm not saying you were), you CAN NOT SHOOT SOMEONE'S DOG! With a BB gun or any other gun. My brother shot someone with an antique, spring-loaded BB gun one time, while riding in a car. The book they threw at him was large and heavy; Drive by shooting, ***ualt with a firearm, reckless endangerment, and the list went on. The judge eventually realized the gun was a toy and dismissed those charges, but when the police had him spread eagle on the ground at gun point, with 6 cop cars to do it, it seemed like a pretty big deal.
The old guy could be on a downward spiral to nutsville, too. The cops DO need to be informed of this right away, they need to come out and have a talk with him, and you need to stay the hell away from him.
Even if the cops decide you're completely at fault, they WILL talk to him and explain that you can't shoot someone's dog.
Also, you may not be the only problem he's had with people--the cops may already know him, and this could be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Dumb-*** brother had a problem with a teacher saying inappropriate things to him in front of the entire cl***. He talked to the principal, and by the time it was done, the teacher was willing to appologize in front of the next pep rally. Seems the teacher had a habit of bad behavior, and his comments to little brother were the last straw. That was a very good lesson.
The lesson was, even if you think you're going to come out on bottom, stand up for what's right, and don't roll over just because you don't think you have a chance.
Now go wreck an old man's day!

Some how, I'm not real sure we are getting the whole story on this one.

If this is the real deal, it changes little. The dog should have been leashed AT HOME, and the unlicensed mini bike (or what ever the hell it is) probably shouldn't have been on the road. The old man don't like dogs & probably wasn't the first one he shot at. Don't make everything right, but since when is everything right in life? The world won't end because of this single incident. Let it p***. Different cir***stances, different answer. Gene

Here's the deal. The kid is no innocent victim. He was zipping around the neighborhood on a minibike that isn't licensed, and had his dog running around in people's yards and driveways along with him. I'm betting the story isn't exatly as we heard it, with the kid politely apologizing and moving down the road. Whose parents let them do **** like this? Unless you live in the country on a private road or something, it's not cool. I'm betting that he didn't wear a helmet and proper clothes, don't have a license or insurance, and was riding all over the road and not obeying traffic laws. The kid *IS* acting like a punk, and the only mistake here is that the guy shot the dog and not the kid.

The old man did him a favor by letting him know exactly how ****ed up he's acting. Something the kids parents should have done a long time ago.

Since this is a car related forum I will keep it on topic. Go get four or five cans of that neat foam **** in a can and fill his car with it.

I understand what every body is saying about picking your fights and they are probably right. But I also know that about 99.5% of the people on this forum would not walk away if someone shot their dog that was walking with them leash or no leash.
