I had to put my dog down, she was getting to bad off. It was really hard for me to do. I'd like to find another boxer to replace her. If ya'll know of any, especially close to STL and reasonably priced, let me know.

I feel your pain. I waited for Mrs Rocky to leave town for a long weekend to take my bestest friend, Dusty, to have her put down after 16 years of faithful companionship. I cried like a baby on the way home. I still can't bring myself to have another dog.....I just borrow the neighbor's cat.

sorry to hear that. i can't imagine how it feels to have to put an animal down. there's a real bond between a man and his dog. boxers are cool dogs, cute as hell when they're puppies. good luck with getting a new one.

our dog died last year on Father's Day and i never cried so hard and so much in my life. my mom said no more dogs but 2 weeks later my brother brought home a Siberian Husky puppy and this dog is a real pain in the****!! it doesn't compare to our previous one, damn i miss that dog.

Sorry to hear that. About a month ago my g/f and I were sitting down watching Tv and Norman, my cat of 10 years fell off the couch. We were freaking out and he died on the way to the vet hospital. That was hard for me. He's been with me through everything... adjusting to life in the big city of chicago for a farm kid, being married, buying a house, getting divorced, rediscovering dating, falling in love again... EVERYTHING. I miss him.

5 weeks ago I had to put down my 13 yr old Boxer Jake. I am still pretty shaken up about it from time to time, but he lived a good life.

sorry for your loss. it's a hard thing. as rashy said some people just can't understand. the wife and i don't have kids either and our animals are our kids and then some. lost my little buddy back during christmas. coolest cat ever and the only other male in the house. it still hurts. hell he would beat the dog to greet me when i got home. the house still ain't the same. sometimes i still come home ready to see him and forget until i get in that he's not gonna meet me anymore. i usually then go out back where we buried him under a nice tree and made a flower bed over and hang out for a few. crazy i know but like i said they are like chhildren to us. he died of complications from diabeties and went within a few months of being diagnosed. he was only 7 and still full of life. man it*****s to think about. i guess what i'm saying is i'm very sorry for your loss i know how hard it is and enjoy 'em while they are here. things will get better but you'll always have the memories of a good friend forever. sorry...ken....

Sorry about your loss. I remember when I had to have a cat put to sleep. Man, I teared up in the vets office....I musta looked like a***** standing there chokin' back tears. [IMG]

On a side note...Does anyone want a new kitten? My wife and I found one along the road the other night. Seems that out here in the sticks people just fling them out the windows left and right.... We've actually heard people say, "Hell, animals ain't got no souls....If I don't want um, I jus' shootum." [IMG]

This little kitten is the coolest thing. He has a slight limp, but he's the friendliest kitten I have ever seen. Hes setting on my lap right now and getting a little pissed cause I'm typing. He needs his rest DAMMIT! [IMG] Hes probably about 6 or 7 weeks old and is just now getting to where hes exploring my studio....

Anyone want him. I'm starting to get attached to him and we ALREADY have 3 cats and a big galoot black lab.... [IMG]

Sorry man. When no one else loves you your dog always will. Unqualified love is what they do best. I know how it hurts. [IMG]

Sorry for ya. For us who realy love or pets it like the loss of a kid. My wife and I had to put down our Lab a year and a half ago.He had colen canser. We both went in with him when they gave him the shot. We didnt want his last minits to be alone. It tore us apart so bad we nether one could go home for days( we didnt have kids at home). We had said we wernt going to get another one till we got over Rocky but after 3 days we got a golden retriver(long for ham) No dog will ever take Rocks place but Max ( our golden) shure helped the healing and now there a new kid in the block.

Heres a couple of pics, this may makes you feel better. This is our Flash & Jerry. And the other pic is "the gang" waitin for the beers.

I feel for ya. I've had dogs all of my life, coming from a farm its just natural to have animals around. My wife and I have had Shi tzu's for the last 15 years. They are loving pets and great house dogs. Since our kids have grown and gone they are our constant companions. We had to put our 1st female down about two years ago and it broke our hearts. Naturally, you tell yourself, "no more, I can't take the heartache of loosing them." About a month later I arranged to be in the vicinity of the lady's house where we got her and just "happened" to stop by. LIZZY rode home in my wife's arms and could barely put her down so she could relieve herself. She's a little clown and torments Casey (our old male), but I know he loves her as much as we do. Like as already been said, they give you unconditional love, and the entertainment is priceless.

I'm real sorry to hear about your dog! We had several Boxers when I was growing up & they are good dogs. My animals are such a MAJOR part of my life...I just don't know what I would do without them. Hell...I prefer animals over people...
animals don't complain, don't judge & they want nothing more than your company; what more could you ask for? Take Care...
