Guitar, bass, and drums but I'm mainly a guitar player. I've been playing for about 15 years, and do a lot of rockabilly-influenced stuff. I sing and write as well. My main guitar is a custom double cutaway hardtail.

used to play Bass in my youth - mostly Punk and Metal, worked as a roadie for nearly 8 years, mostly doing Bass and Drum rig setups with some sound board work thrown in for good measure.
a few of the bands I've toured with include:
Mercyful Fate/King Diamond, Bullfrog, Fahrenheit 451, Testament, Propain, Green Jello, Kix, Dick Sister, Type O Negative, Scatterbrain...the list is long...

Picked up the guitar in grade school. Learned to read music, but dumped it to be more creative playing by ear. (saves wear and tear on the fingers..) But got into magic for the past 13 years which has lead to a combo DJ & Magic show for cruises and other rod events. Fun too inviting others up on stage at the private Grand FinAlley malt shop to entertain others with music and karaoke. though this is not strictly on the subject of playing instruments, it's all fun with sounds of the 50's and early 60's.

I play fiddle for a bluegrass band called the Sheppard Bros. I used to play banjo for them for 13 years. The wife and I have our own gig called the Appalachian Leftovers playing old time. I also do some studio work for others as needed. Overall I play guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin.

  15. I've been playing the drums for almost 14 years. I played in a punk rock band for a long time, but mostly play by myself as of late. What does the drummer say as he's getting kicked out of the band?........Hey guys! I wrote a song!

I was a bass players and played some guitar too .
I player hard rock back in the 1970's . I played the bass mostly . Had a Fender bass with piggy back set up with 4-15" in each cabinet . I had a hell of a time ! I also love the older Blues !
The only thing I wish I did was ware ear protection , but there really wasn't anything like that back then . Not I have only about 1/2 my hearing .
    Still wouldn't have changed a thing !

Guitar, bass and harmonica, vocals, song writing. Playing since 1970, with bands and solo acoustic with harmonica. Still have my Fender Esquire since '71, a mid '60s one. Also an OLP double neck 6 and 12 string electric (for visual impact if nothing else) and numerous guitars and basses that I airbrushed.

I played guitar in a couple of garage bands back in the late '60's. I started playing again this year because I started feeling the arthritis that is in my knees move to my fingers. I discovered the guitar kits that are out there and I built a faux Tele and faux 12 string Strat, working on a faux Les Paul. The kits are cool because you can take a lot of your hot rodding skills to not be afraid to try to fine tune these things. Also, I'm using acrylic enamel colors from some of my cars on them.

A friend just discovered a device on the market now called a JamHub. With this thing you can rock out with others by just plugging in the instruments and wearing head phones. You don't piss off the neighbors or rest of the family. This thing will revolutionize garage bands.

Bought a cheap bass from a pawn shop yesterday. Gonna try to learn to play that because bass guitarists seem to be few and far between. So, if I suck at it, others will have to let me play because I'm the only one they can find.

Been playing the Bagpipes since 92. Played professionally for several years
    and even teach!

  25. Saxophones, congas, vocals. I've played music professionally for over 30 years and I made a living strictly from music for 20 of those years. Played a lot of gigs with a lot of cats, man!

I still play regularly with several groups doing mostly corporate events for tourists and conventions. The pay is better and the hours are earlier than club work.

    Selmer Mark VII Tenor
    Vintage "Naked Lady" Conn alto
    flutes and clarinets
    Vintage LP Congas

I've been playing guitar since I was 9. 21 years later I'm not much better then when i was 17, but learning drums, piano and bass have made me a half ass jack of all trades.

My recent get is a Pignose G40V. Put in groove tubes and a vintage Jenson. :D

I been singing in bands since high school circa 1973.I stopped a few years when the kids were small but took drum lessons and put together a blues band. Also play some harp and now front a new country band. I know, country you say? But you gotta see the chicks young and old that come and see the band. The money sucks but we dig it. Check out midnightrodeoband.com. My next project might be a suedo rockabilly, country shit kickin car show band. That is until the next hot rod project enters my life. Im allways looking.

I still play a couple of Strats I picked up in the 70's, thru an old tube blackface Fender Super Reverb that still plays the sweetest tones, or another tube amp, a Fender Blues DeVille (Bassman reissue) with 4 x 10" speakers, that one's also a really sweet soundin' amp! Play mostly blues and blues style rock, try to style myself after the likes of BB King, Albert Cummins, Stevie Ray, ZZ, Page, Clapton, lots of guitar heroes from the good ol' daze! I play these days mostly in front of backtracks I download, carry 'em on my iPod and feed 'em through my amp! One other guy I know plays a solid bass when we can get together for a couple beers and rock out! Not many of my friends play music anymore, so mostly I just rock out for myself and my friends and family....

Also been tryin' out the Hawaiian Slack Key guitar style of playin' lately, got a ways to go on that, but it's a cool sound and a good workout. My buddy's son, Jeff Petersen has really made a name for himself with this music form, here's a link to his music with some samples if anyone is interested.

Got arthritis in my fingers these days, and if I work out on the guitar an hour a day it really helps!
    Aloha,
    Willy
