    The only reason that WD40 got comer******ed is because the guys that were using it kept taking it home and found a bunch of other uses!

  8. I once clipped something in days gone by and knocked some paint off my folks car. So I sprayed the spot with WD-40. I found it would last about 30 days before it started to rust and I had to spray it again. That on a car kept outside and driven pretty much every day. Given that's what it was made for, I suppose it makes sense -

    WD-40 IS SIMPLY A WATER DISPERSANT.

    It works fairly well as a TEMPORARY lubricant (because it dries out/evaporates) and works quite well as a cutting lubricant for soft metals. I keep a can next to the Bridgeport for small jobs on aluminium and br***.

    the only thing wd-40 is good for is removing adhesive.
