A couple of months ago I had a stray come up to my shop. Here is the story. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=76411 Well my land lord finally comes to my shop and freaks. He hates dogs esp. pits.He told me I can't keep her there and I can't really argue because afterall it is his place. Is there anyone on here that would give her a good home? I can't take her home because I've already got two dogs in a small house. She is a well behaved ,good natured and playful dog.She looks mean as hell though so that might be enough to scare off anyone that you don't want around!!! ( Like your mother in law or any other unwanted guests) I hate to this as I'm already very attached to her.
Damn..Looks just like a male Pit I had. Is she spayed? House broken? Dog aggressive? People aggressive? Pits are natural dogs of prey and require a good understanding of the breed (and I'm not talking about thier reputation). They are great dogs. My dog's problem was that he was very dominant, always wanted to be Alpha dog. He was a late neuter and a rescue at that. Hope you find a good home for her. Wish she was closer to me. If all else fails, find a Humane scociety in your area. NOT an SPCA. A humane will not put the dog down. Also try a Pit Bull Rescue. There's probably one around you. They place pit Bulls. Good luck. Free 05 HAMB Drags t-shirt and a FREE not yet released and BRAND ****IN new HAMB shirt to the first responsible person to adopt this dog. ...... If you adopt this dog, get the HAMB goods, and then don't treat this pup how she deserves to be treated then bad **** will happen to ya... I'll see to it.
I will send 20 dollars {american} for dog food. This k9 needs a good home. Too far away or I would take her.. My shop dog died a while back. Damn I miss that *****.... Bobby..
i will also throw in the first and only two issues of hop up from 1994 . this is the one before the current version available now . these are in mint condition . please someone give this dog the home and love she deserves . good luck
If you can't find anyone here to take her, you should contact Pitbull rescue central, they're nationwide and do an amazing job placing pits. Good Luck
Thanks everyone! I really do hate to get rid of her I just don't have another option BUT still will NOT go to any one that won't give her the care and love she deserves! I think she would do real good with house training she stays in my shop all night. It looks like she has been spayed because she has a scar on her belly but I don't know for sure. She is good with kids and loves everybody that she has been around. She likes to play catch and she can jump up to my shoulders and I'm six foot tall! She also wants to be a lap dog thats where she is most content. BTW her name is Gracie.
Owning Pits aint a crime. My son and his 70 pound lap dog. I would love to have her but I already keep one pit in the house and thanks to hurricane Rita I have no fence. BUT what I can do is make the 6 hour drive to you to help anyone with a relay... If you still have her in a month I may take her anyway she is cool as hell...
Pitbulls save lives. My pup is 11 years old now. He changed my life... I didn't want him when I "got" him, but he demanded... Someone out there doesn't know what they are missing...
There's a group called Woodstock animal rescue that also does a great job finding homes. I'm getting a Mastiff/Boxer cross from them on weds or I'd take her myself.
$30 gift certificate for Petsmart courtesy of GARAGE magazine to the lucky sumbuck who gets this dog. Wish we could take her... STONER ps--email me at chief@garagemagazine.com when the deal is done.
My Mom's Pit Bull just p***ed away a week ago and she's looking for another one. Don't know if she wants a female though, I will ask her tomorrow. Would have to figure out how to get her here though. I can tell you she'd have the best home possible if Mom would want her. PM me some info on her as soon as you can and I'll relay it.
I'd love to take the pup off your hands, looks like a great dog but my roomate has 2 big dogs in this small house as it is and they are a handful. I'm sure someone will take care of yours.
I'd take her in a heartbeat~ but I am in Michigan and already have a very jealous German Shepherd mix rescue who would be beside herself with grief if I brought another dog into my small house. I will p*** the word for you though. We (My G/F and I) are animal lovers and would hate to think of anything bad happening to your dog...too bad you can't keep her...
i'm sorry to hear about your situation. a lot of people prejude Pit Bulls and they definitely get a bad rap. i've seen my fair share of the sweetest Pits. i sure hope someone is able to take this awesome dog and give it the loving home it deserves.
Does your lease or rental agreement specifically state no dogs, or no pit bulls? are you willing to stand up for that dog since she can't stand up for herself? If the answer to #1 is NO, and #2 is YES, then tell you LL to **** himself and start looking for new shop space that is dog friendly.
Here are my 2 girls - the big one is the grand-daughter of the pit in the movie "Flash Dance" she's a red and white red nose, the other is a mix Staffordshire Terrier and the one in my avitar is "Sir Ruttles Deluxe - Grand Master Relaxation Machine". Not aggressive and give off a good amount heat in the bed Being a landlord I can see his point, insurance and lawyers are changing the world as we speak. Good luck finding him a home. Who ever gets him will get a $25 donation for dog food from me 'cause I love pits.
very sorry to hear that...i hope she get's a great home..she is VERY beautiful. i'd love her to death, but we just adopted this boxer
man I feel for you. Having to give up a companion that has actually chosen you. I would like a Dog but I have a job that sends me out of town for extended times and I feel it is unfair to submit that kind of life to such a noble animal. I hope She finds a good home or your situation changes to allow you to keep her. Dawg
