1st being that I'm into BMX and have never really gotten into skating doesn't mean I don't have much respect for you guys.
I finally got a chance to see cab's show on fuel the other day. Awesome. They should have shown more of his killer art work though.

My question is can you guys recommend some punk bands? I'm looking for some new music to listen too. Whose the dude in the fuel tv commercial skating the pool with the little kids? Duanne peters? Doesn't he have a band?
Thanks guys. Sorry for the OT.

  5. D.R.I. has always been a favorite of mine. What about Rancid, Agnostic Front, old Anthrax, Black Flag, the Misfits (Danzig days), the Vandals, M.O.D., old Chili Peppers, etc...

ramones, butthole surfers (early stuff), ministry, iggy pop, primus, the cramps,
janes addiction, violent femmes, sonic youth, pantera....really only one of those is truly punk, but this is what i listened to as a delinquent on a board.

as a side note we have a local band here that is a tribute band to both KISS and the misfits. they are called the kissfits. they do nothing but kiss and misfit songs...badly if you ask me.

Wasn't he in a band way back in the day called "Supercool Tough Guys"? I got a free flimsy record with my Thrasher subscription. Back when Thrasher was still printed on newsprint and when you read it your got black stuff all over your face and hands. Ahhh... Those were the day's.

I can't believe nobody mentioned GG Allin, boy was that guy a nut... taking a crap on stage and rolling around in it.

My list back in the day included:

    Meatmen
    Misfits/Samhain
Slayer (lots and lots of Slayer)
    MOD
A few of the Thrasher skate rock tapes
    Dead Milkmen
Suicidial Tendencies (lots and lots of ST)
    Agent Orange
    JFA
    Celtic Frost
    Corrosion of Conformity (old stuff)

Not a lot of punk mentioned up there... more skate rock I guess.
