OT -Retired and starting to feel the pinch

Thanks guys for making this into a political football game.....can the ****. This thread deserves better.

 

When I sold Rod 'n Race 5 years ago, I had everything paid for, and thought I would enjoy retirement.
New health issues with my wife, riseing cost of everything we consume, and a large dose of "board" caused me to go back into the workforce. Luckly I was hired by a friend of my son who was tired of the usual unskilled, unmotivated and unreliable folks who seem to be around these days. He is very happy to have this Old Fart who shows up ahead of time, works without supervision, and isn't shy about making suggestions on how to improve how things are done in the shop.
Thank God my health at 68 is allowing me to stay productive and ahead of our ever increasing bills.

That was meant to be a joke. I never really read that.Don't be so serious.

 

This was a pretty interesting thread, that I WAS following, but it has strayed way off track. SO as not to be OT I was retired for about 6 years but have gone back to work or face running out of funds keeping with my current lifestyle. As for Carlin I always thought he was spot on with his humor.

 

...George Carlin was right about almost everything!
