(OT) Stupid Fast-n-Furious neighbors need advice

I live on a corner. The inconsiderates would pull up to the stop sign and loiter for 2 or 3 minutes with the bass booming then usually do a corner burnour while leaving. Now mind you this was every fri. and. Sat. night about 2:00am. This got old,so I got my bolt action 30.06 and load 4 crimped rifle grenade blank cartridges in the magazine. I walked outside on the front porch sat. night when they returned. I opened fire,In the dark,the muzzle flash was incredible,the roar of the 30.06 deafening. 4 shots later and they have never returned....

 

I FUCKIN LOVE IT!!!!! serves em right too. people would think twice before being so inconciderate if more people had guns. LOL ...woulda sucked balls if they returned fire though ...

Just remember there is a down side to some of this stuff, This last forth of July I was out in front of my house shooting off fireworks with my boy, There are a bunch of people out, kids mostly, Anyway this dick in a little pickup came speedin down the road, way too fast, Somebody else yelled at him to slow down, I yelled at him also with no luck. I proceeded to throw a launch tube in front of his truck, Guy came to a screeching stop (45 ft skid marks on dry pavement) He came flying out of his truck,( much younger, faster, and drunker than me) grabbed the front of my shirt and decked me, then proceeded to kick me when I was down. Kids started yelling, my12 yr old daughter came screaming out of the house and the idiot took off on foot leaving his truck. Called the cops as they were checking on me and reported his truck stolin, when they brought him by to I.D. it the nieghbors I.D. him.

Now I do not remember one bit of this as I had a concusion, black eye, various other scrapes and bruises.

I usually don't preach and sorry if I come off that waY, JUST BE CAREFULL WHAT YOU DO.

The guy got a bunch of councelling and such a 3 yr deffered sentence and has to pay restitution, of which I have not seen any yet by the way.

 

Some druggies were parking next to my rental house then walking down the alley to do their drug deals. I took an old rotten fence board, drove some rusty nails through it then buried it in the leaves in the gutter...they never parked there again.

 

hey i realy cant talk too much cause im the youngest on the block in my neighborhood of house owners (30) and my lil model a runs open headers and ive been guilty of doing long smokey burnouts in front of my house and reving up open headered big blocks at 2 in the morning but im cool with all the people on my block and they all like me cause theres always cool shit parked around my house and me and all my freind are over 6 ft and at least 200 lbs and we pretty much protect the hood but ne ways ive gone all routes eveyones talking here with the idiots that fly thru the hood ( i only act a fool in front of my house not whole not thru the neighborhood ) we ve even made one guy call the cops on us to get his keys back after he stopped to TRY and kick our asses for hollering at him but to tell you the truth cause i am young and speek from experience


next time they come flying by take a lil walk down to there house and have a respectable talk with them u understand me dont cuss em out dont threaten them just talk to them
im even willing to bet something good will come out of it besides gettin them to stop doing flybys

 

i feel your pain on this one. I have a 5 year old daughter that almost got ran over in our parking lot by one of these assholes. I have to draw the line and do something when my kids/family are being threatened- Think it out real thoroughly. There has to be a smart way to deal with these idiots. If that don't work, i guess just knocking thier teeth out works too....or not. lol

 

We HAD a similar problem... I own a a corner lot, 1 street is a gravel dead end and the other is a cement through street. i always have people coming down the gravel dead end and doing donuts throwing rocks into my jag and my 57... the other night i caught a honda civic doing it and chased after them with a bat.. 4 blocks down i caught em! They spun out into a ditch and where on their side. haha!! The nice guy i am. i broke out the drivers window, drug one out and had a nice louie slugger in the throat chat with the driver... then charged him 100 bucks to yank his car out of the ditch.. he paid or else i was gonna call the wonderful tacoma pd.. I sure this idea doesnt work everywhere but.. havent seen the car on my street since..

 

Had this problem in my neighborhood untill last week. This kid used to fly around the block in his Focus and I did my share of yelling and fist shaking, but as luck would have it, It snowed one night. Here in Tucson, I don't know if you know it, but the roads freeze over about once every 20 years. I used to live in Illinois, so I know how to drive in snow and ice, but nobody native to arizona has a clue. Well anyway, there was maybe 3 in of snow on my street, this ricer dude comes flying around the corner and smashes into my neighbor's palm tree. Totaled the ricer and almost killed the kid. needless to say our problem is solved.

 

WE just put speed bumps on our street (city aproved) around $300 each

 

I realize that sometimes you need 'em, but I can't stand speed bumps. My Grand Marquis, stock height, will scrape some of the bumps we've got (not many thankfully-might be a case of _had_ now). There are neighbourhoods I refuse to take my older car into due to the lack of clearance on these things as I'll probably end up mashing the headers up into the floorboards. I don't see how you guys (if any) with low cars can tolerate speed bumps on your street.

As for fist shaking... I direct this at the non-hot rodding public, obviously, I know you guys know the difference. I always get fist shaked at in a lot of neighbourhoods when I drive my vehicles with headers. People equate volume with speed. Drive something with quiet exhaust at faster speeds and the same people who fist shaked you a few minutes ago when you where below the speed limit, now ignore you just due to swapping cars.

I guess thats my semi-rant for today.

here in my neck of the woods two teenage kids killed a guy while street racing.

they were both 17 one got 6mo. at aboot camp the other house arrest.

there in lies the problem there are no concequences for these little bastards they act with out concience and truly dont care any more.

i wanna shoot every little sob that drives by my house like that one day they will probly hit the dip in the road and wreck into hose and then i will shoot em!

I grew up on a residential street that was very deceptive. It looked like it went straight out to the main road, only about 200 feet before you got to it, it became a cultisac. We had more people come flying past our house thinking they were getting to the main road, only to be surprised that the road didn't go through. Once a guy came down the street doing at least 55mph. A neighbor was doing some landscaping with bricks, and sent one right through the guy's back window! Another time a guy was coming through at about the same speed. My old man hopped into his full size truck, and slid his it sideways into the opening of the cultisac. Nothing for the speeder to do but listen to my Dad chew his ass for about 10 minutes.
I agree, You have to watch your ass though so you don't get sued or beat!
