ITS SUPER SAD! Gary Coleman (Arnold) died too, but I felt worse about Dennis Hopper. :(

This one is hitting me hard. In my adolescent mind I was Billy. Fringe jacket and all. Easy Rider was the most profound experience. I am 100% sure that I would be somebody else if it wasn't for Billy riding free through the beautiful desert. A desert I now live in and still drive around in aimlessly. Time to fire up the the old chopper and go for a ride.
    RIP Brother Billy

Man dude you must be really young or something to not know who Dennis Hopper was,He had to have been in at least a hundred different flicks throughout his life. He has been one of my favorites for years. The best thing about him is he did do alot of the out of the norm roles he took many films that would have bombed completely and made them cult classics for sure. Hell the tom tom gps I bought two years ago had him as one of the voices that directs you. some funny stuff for sure.He will be missed. R I P FECK.

The dude had a positive impact on every movie or television show he was in. Hollywood will be much tamer/lamer without him. One of the giants.

    C-List? Right. What a tool.

Normally I could get a rat's ass when someone in no way related to me passes away, except empathy for their families.

Dont know if its because Im tired or what. But having come to the US, bought a panhead and then went and chased the American Dream, luckily though not ending like the movie but not peachy either, this news has made me really sad.

He had a good run, partied like a rock star and seen more trim than anyone of us that's for sure. Plus he beat the average by two years! His passing is not sad at all. Cool guy though that is for sure.

Am sorry to read that he lost his battle with the big C.
It is very close to home as my wife has had to come to terms with her father is also
battling the big C. Unfortunately his is terminal.

He was nominated for a academy award TWICE!! definatly "A list" if you ask me!!
Also he WAS the only surviving actor of "rebel without a cause".

RIP. I just saw him in an old western the other night on the Western Channel... he was very young. Easy Rider wasn't the best movie every made, but I always loved watching it because they did their own riding. They weren't strapped to a trailer or blue screened. The world needs characters like him, sorry to hear he's past.

  17. The river flows
    It flows to the sea
    Wherever that river goes
That's where I want to be
    Flow river flow
    Let your waters wash down
    Take me from this road
    To some other town

    All he wanted
    Was to be free
    And that's the way
    It turned out to be
    Flow river flow
    Let your waters wash down
    Take me from this road
    To some other town

    Flow river flow
    Past the shaded tree
    Go river, go
    Go to the sea
    Flow to the sea

    The river flows
    It flows to the sea
    Wherever that river goes
That's where I want to be

    RIP Dennis:(

We shared a birthday. I was bragging about that the day before I woke up and heard the news on the radio...spooked me a bit.

I loved the freak character he played in Blue Velvet and his scene with Christopher Walken in True Romance was classic ballsiness.
