  2. I like it. It's good to see them bring back some of the cool styling elements.

I am definitely not a Mustang guy, but that is a killer design...

Now THAT looks like a Mustang.
I've been hot on it since I saw a drawing of it about a year ago.

We're going to have that car on our March cover (coming in January, go figure) and my editor says "it's the best Mustang I've ever driven". That's pretty stout for a guy that's been driving various Mustangs for the past 12 years. This car will do 300hp stock, and that's just the GT. Just wait until they put out a Cobra version. They're already talking over 450hp, but not until 2006 model year.

The best part, the GT can be yours for right around $25,000.

VTEC, yo! and it comes with a wing! [IMG]

Actually, that is a damn good looking car, I must admit. Glad to see round headlights making a comeback.

I liked the earlier concepts better. The body needs to be sectioned a couple of inches. If you squint at the rear angle photos it looks a little like some of the Nissan 240SX or Mitsubishis. IMHO I think the rear side windows look a little weak sitting there, the pillars need to be thinner. The photoshop pic with the vent over them looks better. I kind like the retro front grill though.

I like the new look, but always remember this: Mustang stands for MESSED-UP-SHIT-THAT-AINT-NO-GOOD. [IMG] This always seems to get the pony guys pissed off.

There is still one more thing for Ford to do.

Build an production engine that you could take the heads and intake off and put on a flathead.
    No more $25K Arduns!

I don't like it. I like the originals, but this just does not flow to me. The grille is kinda cool, but it's still all new junk to me.

We've had a 2005 prototype GT at work for a while, and that thing is cheesy. The exterior look may grow on me but the interior is to plastic looking. seems more like a childs toy then a car, granted it's a prototype and most of the parts are first runs. Too bad it the only american RWD V8 sports car left in production.

  15. Gus,

That's how I felt when they re-introduced the T-bird. Stunning outside, but that's where it stopped. But has anyone been in a new Pontiac lately...???
