i originally started building this truck almost 15yrs, with air suspension and an interior i made out of sheet metal, 49/50 Ford gauges and clock and alot of metalflake. its gotten parked for a few yrs a few times, and eventually i switched it over to coilovers all around since it was already 4 linked in the back and its rack & pinion with tubular front clip and control arms so it was an easy'ish swap. Alot of little subtle body mods all around, like lowering the front fender openings to match the bedside openings, etc. now its nose bleed height with coilovers and being used to do truck things, but its a fun little truck, handles very well and makes the right noises Moving a 59A flathead
That flathead makes your Squarebody look really small. Of course a DT466 in the back of my Bullnose doesn't do it any favors either.
But the big block looks a little more reasonable Its probably the raised bed floor to accomodate the suspension, but for a truck that wasnt really meant to do truck stuff, i cant complain and its funny
What do you do with your "work van" when you retire and no longer need a work van? You add 20" rims, JDM wheel flares, ground effects and an aftermarket WXR wing (narrowed 8 inches).
Early 2000's I had this '86 S-10...got bored with it and I stuck a 350/350 in it. Over the course of the next 3 or so years, I kept throwing more and more time and $ at it for no apparent reason...I tubbed it and somehow it morphed into this. I eventually sold it on Ebay...and lost my *** on it.
I recently picked up a new F150 and decided to 'ruin a perfectly good truck' by lowering it. Just installed the lowering components over the weekend. I'm happy with the results! Helper airbags are on order and will be installed out back to be able to tow with it. Goal is to trailer my roadster out to California for some events in 2026 or 2027.
My "old man truck" as teased by some friends. 2004 Escalade EXT. Lowered it 4/6. Otherwise mostly stock, just fixing lot of little things and lot of PM work since purchased earlier this year. Not for serious towing, just hauling people or smaller stuff.
My first new vehicle in my whole life. 25 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD with 6.6 litre and Z71 package. Paid cash to boot!
