    Hey,

    Thanks for the video.
Thanks for calling me that day too.....seeing all those C1's in one place at one time was very similar (but not THAT similar) to seeing all those 32's in one place at the GNRS. My mouth hit the ground seeing some of the detail in those cars....That Yenko prepared 68 sounded unreal coming into the building with those open headers pouring out cam 2. It made me get a woody and tear up at the same time.

It made me feel guilty for while in reference to what Im planning to do my C1 ---- quilty for maybe 37 seconds.....

I still think nothing is pretty than a C1 done in g***er fashion.

Kool pics --- I also loved that 61 with the hurst wheels too ---super!

I'm not a big Vette fan (even though my wife drives one daily) - but those single headlight cars do look cool.

    Corvettes make great donor cars

  9. Its one of those Ferrari Daytona kit body's.

Like the black 'Ferrari' they used to use in Miami Vice (the Don Johnson series, NOT the recent movie)

  10. God those pics are great! I love the '57 Vette's and its my dads favorite too.

I saw a couple 67s the other day and one had a 427. I didn't think that they had that big an engine.

The shots below are what looks to be a Ferrari Daytona, but it could be a kit, alot of folks made kits to transform 68-79(?) Vettes into Daytona look alikes. The greenhouse of the car would stay and the panels would be installed in the front and back. Alot of convertibles were done that way. Though most of these conversions were pretty shotty.

Attached a pic of my friends racing Vette's from Elkhart Lake (though I have put these up on the board before).

Thanks for posting this, it brought back a lot of terrific memories. I've owned seven Corvettes but my favorites were the '57 with a 365/327 and the '67 with a 435/427. I wish I had both of them back.
The '57 was obviously not the original motor and the '67 was originally a 390/427. Both cars with totally different ch***is were a ball to drive and had the power to do just about anything you could dream up.
I saved the 435/427 when I sold the car and its going in the '32 5w if I live long enough.

old vettes are great to cruise around in. this is my dad's 66. 327/4sp, all original (except the wheels and tires), all numbers matching, and unrestored.

I agree with others, photo #2, the black fuelie looks like it means business. Ordinarily I don't like vettes but #2 gets it with those dog dish caps.
Once, when a corvette motored past, my daughter, overhearing my comment "sorry about your ****", asked me what I meant, I had to explain the common corvette deficiency. If I offend the corvette owners, well.. you probably wouldn't like me anyhow.

Good eye with the photographs, you have an artistic eye, try dropping to a knee for a low angle shot.

For me its the 61 and 62..a cool blending of an old design frontend and and a backend design that was a look at things to come in the future..I fear I will just have to dream as a driver has always been out of my price range..curse you rich guys or you smart ones that bought them back when and kept them..I'll just have to satisfy myself with the Avanti I just bought, a close second....

I have had this '59 since 1969. I'll be starting on it again as soon as I'm done with the stepside.
