Hello to all the Great Forum Members. I would like to thank everyone who kept me in their prayers and all the kind words. The surgery was successful. I was in the Hospital for 2 days and got home yesterday. I am in a lot of pain and it looks like I have gone a few rounds with Rocky, but I am free of Cancer. thanks again to everyone/ Positive thoughts and Prayers always help. Maybe I should get a prostetic eye with the H. A. M. B. Logo on it...... Jeff Kitchener Ontario
Glad to hear the good news. Prayers were answered for a good outcome. Rest up and do what the doctors say. Frank
great news jeff! don't be surprised if you see life a lot clearer with the "good eye". i don't believe there is any of us survivors who don't have a deeper appreciation for what life's journey has given us. it is not the toys we have but the friends we meet along the journey. enjoy the gifts!
now you have the obligation of learning every pirate joke known to man...LOL...on a more serious note, glad to hear you are going to be ok!
Great to hear you will be all right. Now you can wear one of those cool eye patches or get an awesome gl*** eye that doesn't match your other eye! You could even have a little hot rod embedded in one.
Great news, Jeff. You'll be amazed at how soon you get beyond the loss. The body is wonderous in its' ability to take over and compensate. God bless you and here's hoping you'll heal up quickly and get on with life.
Looks like , eeerrrrrr sounds like aaaahhhhhhh, HELL I don't know which way to say it ,but you must be doing OK if you are already back on the board ! GOOD for you , keep up the good work , God Bless....
Wow, Thanks for the update. Glad to hear all went well. Maybe get two prostetic eyes and use one as a gear shift knob (Ha!). Your postivie at***ude is an inspiration to all.
Just a quick Update and I want to send out a HUGE thank-you to all the great HAMB Forum members I had my 3 week check up yesterday and everything was perfect. The Implant is doing its job and the swelling has gone down. I met with the lady that does the Prostetic eye and I am booked in for August 10/2010 to get my new Eye. Again Thanks so much to All the Great members of the Forum. Ps. I have been invited by the manager of Sandals Hicacos to spend my 50th Birthday in the Presidential Suite in Cuba in September. I spend 2-3 times at the resort each year so I thought this was a nice gesture from the manager. Thanks to Ramel and all the great staff at Sandals Royal Hicacos. I cannot wait for the big party September 28th/2010
Glad for the good news. I know a joke about a wooden eye, but will save it for another time. Gald for you, man.
I just got back from my last oncology followup and was told I am, also, cancer free. My exhaust is a bit shorter now, but it still has a nice mellow tone. If you are 50, GET A COLONOSCOPY!!!! I worked at the Naval Hospital in San Diego before going to exotic South East Asia. There was a patient there that had a prosthetic eye that was chrome with a USMC globe and anchor where the pupil should have been. It was cool as hell....eerie looking, but cool
