OT::videos to computer

    I would like to take some videos of me and my friends cars and put them online but i dont know how to and my video camera is kind of old..what do i need to do to ghet my videos on my computer and then online?or can i even do it..i figured i would ask you guys becasue you guys do this all the time...thanks
     
  2. Hell, my Kodak digital camera takes half decent video....just upgrade.

    Your video camera has to be capable of taking digital video so you can upload the digital file to YouTube, or wherever you wish it to go, such as an online photo/video repository like Photobucket........

    Most newer digital cameras have *film clip* capability......and that clip would be digital..... I use a SONY DSC-F828 that was a pretty high end camera in 2004 when I bought it......with a big enough memory card I can do digital video of high quality for a half hour or an hour at a time!

    The key to your problem is the *digital* aspect.........files have to be digital......

    I am sure that there are some forums you could find to ask further questions....

    some computers have rca jacks on them capible of taking in any form of a/v (a video camera or vhs player) i know the sonys do.

    call the help line for the computer manufacturer

    when I wanted to do that I call HP and the gal patiently walked me through the whole deal,
    I downloaded a free program, Moviemill and was able to plug my tape player into my computer, load my tape to my hard drive and then load to youtube
