I have owned a lot of muscle cars, and I have struggled a few times with tires/wheels for them. In my opinion though nothing beats factory rally wheels. Some of the examples above are great wheels for pro street, and mods but muscle cars look best with factory shoes IMHO.

    Submitted for your consideration,
My last Camaro I had, on 17" ET 5 spokes and TA's as originally built.

And the same car on factory SS (Super Sport) rally wheels and RWL TA's. This was the look I preferred, and it rode nicer on bigger sidewalls. The buyer got both sets to choose from.

Here is the Olds on TT's and widened 10" corvette rallies wearing DOT M/T Drag tires. Menacing. This was her racing trim when I drag raced it on Wednesday nights.
    upload_2025-4-30_14-13-45.jpeg
And as she sits now on SS1's (Styled Steel wheels) and TA's. I had SS2's originally but they were 14" and I didn't really care for them. I did widen the rears to 10" because these cars have such huge wheelhouses, they cry to be filled with tires.

To my eye, the factories back then produced some of the nicest wheels on the streets. Cragars are kewl (the old ones with the round spokes) but I don't think they can beat the SS1's on my ragtop. The Olds is still menacing, it may not have decals and drag tires but muscle cars didn't need them to tear you a new one on the street.

If it had a blower sticking through the bonnet, the factory wheels would look out of place. But then again, that isn't a muscle car any longer, IMHO.

And that LT-1 peaking out of the garage above? Rallies, redlines and flat caps. Back when the factories go it right!

I had them on the Olds at one point too, but the damn car shredded them. There is still one in the trunk as a spare mounted to a SS1. I am talking notches of rubber torn out of the rear tires. I don't recall the brand, but they didn't last long. The Vettes redlines were TA's that I had shaved and red lines vulcanized on. Those were good tires. I miss that car.

  7. I like slot mags. My 5th grade science teacher had a Jeep with slot mags like this one.

I had a Ranchero with slot mags on it.

Always love the original torque thrusts. But liked the 8 holes I had on the cab over too.

They've started making them again, but they're ungodly expensive, like 400 bucks apiece. From the time they first came out in the late 60's up until they were discontinued, they were always priced about the same as a Torq Thrust D of the same diameter and width. Don't know what's made them so valuable now.

Those draglites always reminded me of communion trays at church:D
Being a child of the 80s-90s and everything being IMSA Ford related I grew up loving the BBS honeycomb style wheels. I even had a Lincoln Mark VII with a set.

Wires with knock-offs have always had a special appeal to me.

I've got two 13" BBS RA fwd-pattern wheels sitting on a shelf here. Long story about how there came to be only two of them. They're on the shelf because I have no idea what to do with only two really very good 13" German forged alloy wheels. All I can think is some kind of weird sidecar outfit, which I have no intention of building.

I've got 4 15x7s (even though the catalog didn't list this size)...for sale...

Ended up with some more of one of my favorites yesterday. I haven’t measured the wider ones yet, but guess I have another set of 15x4’s for some upcoming car.

Not sure what brand they are. I haven't looked them over too close yet, but didn't see anything on the back side at all on the front runners or the wider ones. The front runners definitely have less backspacing than the ones I put on my Chevelle and they have screw holes for center caps whereas my others don't. Anyway, I'm no expert on all the differences on slots to know which are which.

Had these in the early 70's, always thought they were Ansen Sprints.
