Projects Other Shoebox Rear light ideas ????

Anyone got any alternative ideas for rear lights for my wifes shoebox .
We are keeping the swage lines but looking for some alternative rear light ideas other than frenching the stock ones.

 

Keeping the windsplits limits your choices to something wi th similar outside edge shape. Maybe 1954 Chevy

 

Thanks for that Phil, I think that I remember in the deep and distant past what looked like an upside down T or maybe a cross but I might have dreamt it..

 

There are TONS of ideas for Shoebox taillights here on the HAMB , even whole threads dedicated to it. A quick search will keep you busy for hours, and confuse you as well , LOL !

I mocked up 54 Chevy lights on my '50 project and they just didn't look right to me. I tried to not french them and they were not proportional.

 

What about 49-51 Mercury tails? They're small and would fit right if you want to keep the body lines
