So I decided to get our butts out to the "King of Clubs" car show/drag race.
Since barona is only 40 miles from our house and had camping,
I figured this was a great show to bring the kids too.

First had to get our '40 coupe ready.

Making a quick bike rack added to our late start,
but I knew it would be worth it.
My kids are 9 and 11,
and stingrays are the best thing to keep them occupied.

Finally all loaded up we ventured out.

    The old flathead ran great,
or let's say better than expected.

There is a good size hill/mountain to climb up.
Surprisingly the little 221 ci flathead liked it better than the freeway.

My cousin Brandon and his friend Mario (and more) had hauled out early,
fortunately saving us a killer spot right in the thick of things.

Usually I like being a little more on the outskirts,
but the Creepy Creeps and Deadbolt were gonna be playing,
so who can complain being 40 feet away from the stage !

I wondered what the rack on the front was all day saturday. When I saw you leaving I thought that it was a pretty cool idea!

    We got there late,
but early enough to see the tail end of the drag race.

There's some big time and money in some of these cars.

Wish I had the numbers but these all were easily in the low 6's in the 1/8th mile.

It also kept people from leaning on the car during the bands!

Cool pic's Travis, looks like the kids had a good time too. That bike rack is a good idea, you should paten that thing.

Ok here's the fun seedy side!

Right after the drags it got a little crazy where we were parked.
    Miguel took care of it!

    The bands started.

than the burlesque show was cool.

one of my kids wasn't to stoked with the bare boobs but he's got to learn!
Actually it was the fact I was taking pictures that he got upset with!

The creepy creeps started and they can put on a show.

Not a good time for one of my kids to try to go to sleep!

For those of you who don't want it so noisy, you can camp on the north side of the track and get some rest.
