Way to go John & LLoyd! Those stude's have always been a favorite of mine. I love the color and the stance.

    Congrats on your first attempt.

Just got the call, Wz(brother) said he told the starter at the take-off that they were going to go over 200mph on the first timed mile, first pass. They starter just smiled. Hooley did 208 at the first timed mile. He pulled off the course near the RRT tent, met his personal goal of going 200mph. Hot Damn !!!! "Salt on your ham, H.A.M. B. on the Salt" Sam

Is brother going to try to get in a run? They'd talked if Lloyd made it and the car was still together WZ might give it a go.

  7. That's bitchen!

Did he get in trouble with the licensing rules??

Also... for those saavy on salt cars... can you build a car that does not fit any of the classes and just go out and run it?

    Sam.

Hooley offered to let John drive it and go through the licensing process. Brother says he's just too tired and told Hooley that just his making the offer was good enough. They all worked real hard to get there and were on "cloud 9" after the run. I think they are leaving for home on Thursday. John says he's gonna relax now and check out all the neat rides in the pit area. Sam

Congrats on the good run, and things going well Sam.

So, are you guys gonna tow it to the Nats in OKC next year?
Its pretty much my only chance to see it the way things are going with the new job and all.

Sam I don't know what issues they had at tech inspection but they got through. Lloyd is a rural Oklahoma boy so hopefully he will bring the car to some cruise nights and local shows around central Ok. Maybe we'll get to see it at the H.A.M.B. drags next Saturday. I wish I could have been involved with the team. I'm only the messenger. Sam
